The Story Behind Bem Te Vi Coaching

When I got married and moved from The Netherlands to Brazil, I began a new adventure in a new place and everything felt unfamiliar: the colors, the smells, the sounds. I learned to move slowly, letting each new sight, sound, and scent reveal its meaning to me.

Among those new sights and sounds, one stood out: the bem-te-vi, a cheerful little bird from Brazil whose song always made me feel at home. Every morning its call felt like a warm welcome to a new day, even when I didn’t know what that day would bring.

That simple greeting became a symbol of what I now hold dear in my coaching work: the beauty of being seen, known, and gently welcomed into the light of a new day that has so much to be enjoyed.

Bem Te Vi Coaching was born from that spirit; an invitation to show yourself, to share your story, and to rediscover the light that’s already within you. I believe every person carries an amazing story, often hidden behind fear, doubt, or uncertainty. My calling is to walk beside you as you understand yourself more deeply, take your place in the light, and learn to share that light with others.

My coaching is rooted in Christian values such as
compassionintegrityhope, and gratitude.

I welcome you with love and patience, honoring the unique pace of your growth.

Welcome to Bem Te Vi Coaching.

It’s so good to see you — just as you are.

Guiding Principles

My coaching approach is grounded in a blend of psychological and relational frameworks that support deep self-understanding and lasting growth.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps to connect you with your values and take mindful, meaningful action.
  • Polyvagal Theory (Stephen Porges) guides our exploration of how your nervous system responds to stress and connection, supporting greater emotional safety and regulation.
  • Kazimierz Dabrowski’s Theory of Positive Disintegration addresses complexity of the highly gifted mind and body, and which views inner conflict and sensitivity as pathways to personal growth.
  • Family Systems work helps us understand how your relationships and environment shape your patterns, allowing space for healing and balance.

Together, these influences create a compassionate and holistic framework for growth that honors both mind and heart.
